I don't give a damn!

I don't give a damn...if they shackle me to the post,
I don't give a damn...if they wanna persecute me, pull me up on the cross ans whip to to the desire of pain,

I don't give a damn...if you feel me pain, feel my agony, feel m y strength, and I will do my job so my best, and be the best!!
/////////

Cuz, I don't give a damn, I'm tired, I'm weak, I'm done. If you wanna come to me, then come to me, come to me as if I am the supreme.

But, I release and let go!

Best thing I never had...

Zen Den

Today, I experienced the Riverside Arts Market. It was filled with wonderful showcases of jewelery, fruit & veggies, and an extreme talented music scene. Located, under the north end of the Fuller Warren bridge, this market is open every Saturday from 10 am to 4pm March through December. As I walked in, I was escorted by present police officers helping pedestrians cross the busy streets of people parking to enjoy this experience.

Towards my left was a happening African folk band playing delightful tunes on guitars, oboes, and flute like instruments. There was also a saxophonist entertaining the crowd with Kenny G's 'Pastel' and other renditions of Jazz greats.

Today, the African Yoga troupe was there to help the crowd get fit with positions of the rejuvenating exercise. The aroma of different cultures of food also enticed me. I tasted a European sausage and and enjoyed a Blue Crab Bisque.

Also, known as RAM for short, RAM is located at 715 Riverside Avenue, under the canopy of the Fuller Warren Bridge on the north bank of the St Johns River. This pet friendly enviornnemt is a great time for the entire family.

If you are ever in Jacksonville, or want to experience a nice and blissful Saturday after brunch, go out and enjoy this great space that the city has to offer!

Back from the Dead

I wish I coulod remember what the title was, or what the accusation was...

but I digress and move forward...

Just imagine the world infested and under the rule of all that is evil and corrupt,

But imagine us as one, imagine us united...
under the law of

creed...

love...

So imagine all the people, that shape our land in unity, imagine all the people becoming all for one.

that great day shall come, it will come with a rising force that shines,

glides,

and guides us all home to a light of purity and understanding,

but until that day, we shall let it be...

words of wisdom from the wise, we shall overcome our sickest darkest days and venture on to light.

We the people, and as the people, we shall forever and always be the people, because we are the people,

people of passion, hope and forthright indivisible power..

We the people....

let it be...

Music is Made for Love...

Let's fly away, fly away to that beautiful place named Jupiter & Mars,
(and if you want it you got it forever)
(just release & you will find)

A place that we can escape to a sweet melodic sound of rhythm, harmony, & soul,
a kindred heart & spirit of sweet harmonic design.

A place where we can find the peace that we have so desperately sought for our own,
gathering collections of emotions; timeless memories of day,
moonlight shines brightly when we whisper our delight and new found glory of love.

Let's fly away together to a place that they can never find,
maybe to Barbados, Costa Rica, or St. Tropez,
a place where love only and will only exist that we share...

My funny Valentine, my sweet, dear, and tender Valentine,
love of my life, keeper of my soul,
Love is always around, love is always near when I think of you,

We shall always cruise to the beat, ride to the passion that is music,

made of love...

The Legacy that will die...

All of her emotions open wide, they never have to hide...
A legacy that dies with her, a legacy that was written to rule and be upheld as a landmark of our, this and forever a people.

She unfortunately has to decease from this planetarium unto another world that can and will appreciate her beauty, grace, mercy, and effect. A world that embraces change and a contentious equilibrium of life.

May I ask a question?

Black. Brown. Caramel. Fair. Light-Skinned. Dark-Skinned. Olive. Red. Yellow. White....all shades or 'definitions' that describe a woman of color.

Often times, I think why and how we(as black women) are characterized under one specific color. Women of color vary in size, shape, mentality, culture, and of course, color. Why is it that we have a love/hate relationship with one another?

Facts have proven that we do disregard "our" men dating or having relations with women that are not of color. So why do we criticize and demean each other, as if we were foreign enemies? Or under a foreign policy that limits us to communicate and embrace our uniqueness?
